AFDAN is a local NGO, non-profit and non-political, formed in July 2019 — a women- and minority-led organization committed to empowering marginalized communities through a wide range of impactful programs, rooted in collaboration, resilience, and innovation.

Our Presence
AFDAN’s operations span seven regions of Somalia — Banadir, Hiraan, Middle Shabelle, Bay, Lower Shabelle, Gedo, and Lower Juba. With 12 offices strategically located from Mogadishu to Galkayo, we respond effectively to the diverse needs of communities in both urban and rural areas.
